MR. BRYAN A. COATES*
Chairman, Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation

President, Osisko Gold Royalties Ltd

Bryan A. Coates has been President of Osisko since June 2014. From 2007 to 2014, he was the Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Osisko Mining Corporation. Mr. Coates was responsible for all activities related to financing, financial reporting, marketing relating to the gold industry, risk management and government relations. Mr. Coates has more than 30 years of progressive experience within the international and Canadian mining industry. Before joining Osisko, he was Chief Financial Officer of Iamgold (2006-2007), Cambior Inc. (2001-2006), and Cia Minera Antamina (1998-2001). Mr. Coates is a member of the Board of Directors of Alio Gold Inc., Falco Resources Ltd, Golden Queen Mining Co. Ltd. and Technosub. Mr. Coates holds an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from Laurentian University and is a member of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.

MR. FREDERIC RUEL

Frédéric Ruel has over 15 years of experience in financial reporting and has been involved in the mining industry for over 10 years. Prior to joining Osisko Gold Royalties, he held the position of Director, Corporate Reporting for Canadian Malartic Partnership, Osisko Mining Corporation and Consolidated Thompson Iron Mines. Frédéric began his career as an auditor in a premier Canadian accounting firm where he worked for 7 years. He is a member of the Ordre des Comptables Professionnels Agréés du Québec and holds a Master in Accounting from the Université de Sherbrooke. Frédéric is also involved with other public companies in the mining industry.

Director, Professional Development and Process Excellence

Teresa is responsible for the development and implementation of technical programs for Scotiatrust’s Trust Professions and is responsible for projects focused on improving the client experience. Teresa has worked in the Estate and Trust industry since 1980, holding various roles including management of various foundation and scholarship accounts. She is a member of the Scotiatrust Executive Office team and actively involved in causes in her community.

MR. GRAHAM FARQUHARSON*
President, Strathcona Mineral Services Limited

 

Graham Farquharson resides in Toronto and is the President of Strathcona Mineral Services Limited, a position he has held since 1974. He was a Director of Franco Nevada Corporation, High River Gold Mines Limited and the Physicians Services Incorporated Foundation. He is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining, Metallurgy and Petroleum, the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada, and the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario. He has been a Past Director of several other mining companies including Cambior Inc. from 1993-2006 and Placer Dome Inc. from 1999-2006.

 

Mr. Farquharson commenced work in the mining industry in 1960 while attending university and subsequently gained varied operation experience in Canada and Africa, and consulting experience, prior to founding Strathcona in 1974 and embarking on the development of the first mine in the Canadian High Arctic at Nanisivik on Baffin Island. Mr. Farquharson holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Alberta and a Masters of Business Administration from Queen’s University.

 

MR. JACQUES PERRON*

Director, Public Resources Companies

Jacques Perron has worked in the mining industry for more than 30 years and has extensive technical and operations experience. Jacques was appointed as a director of TMAC Resources in May 2019 and is also Chair of the Technical Committee. Jacques was also appointed as a director of Victoria Gold Corp. in June 2018. He is the Chair of the Technical committee and a member of the Audit Committee. He also serves on the Board of Centerra Gold Inc. where he is also the Chair of the Risk Committee. He was appointed to the Board of Aquila Resources Inc. in November 2018. Most recently Jacques was President, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. Prior to joining Thompson Creek in 2013, Jacques was President and Chief Executive Officer of St Andrew Goldfields Ltd. since 2007. Previous senior management positions included Senior Vice President of IAMGOLD Corporation from 2006 to 2007 and Vice President, Canada, for Cambior Inc. from 2004 to 2006. From 1984 to 2004, Jacques held a variety of increasingly senior management positions with Cameco Inc., Placer Dome Canada Limited, Breakwater Resources Ltd., Cambior Inc., JS Redpath Ltd. and Noranda Inc. Jacques has also been a director of the Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation since 2007. Jacques has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from l'École Polytechnique de Montréal.

MS. JENNIFER PETERSON*
Sr. Specialist, Workforce Planning and Talent Acquisition, Cameco Corporation

Jennifer Peterson joined Cameco in 2003 in the finance department and then moved into human resources in 2005. She has 16 years of experience in the mining industry. Ms. Peterson is responsible for all engineering, projects and technical recruitment, immigration, relocation, education assistance and scholarship programs. She received a Bachelor of Commerce with distinction from the University of Saskatchewan in 2002.

MR. GEOFF RAMEY*

Vice President, Human Resources and HR Systems, Centerra Gold Inc.

Geoff Ramey has been the Vice President, Human Resources & HR Systems for Centerra Gold since October 2016 and previously held the same position with Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc. in the United States from September 2014 until the acquisition of Thompson Creek by Centerra. He has 18+ years of human resources, safety, administration and technology experience with a variety of private and public companies in several different industry sectors. From 1999 to 2008, Mr. Ramey worked as a Human Resources professional with increasingly senior HR, safety, administrative and systems related positions. Mr. Ramey formerly served on the board of directors of the Human Resources Professionals Association (of Ontario, Canada), and recently on the board of the Mining Association of British Columbia. Mr. Ramey has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Labour Studies from McMaster University and a Business Administration diploma specializing in Human Resources and HR Systems from the Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. Mr. Ramey is also involved in volunteering HR and IT services to the Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation.

MR. DEAN C. WINSOR*
Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer, Teck Resources Limited

 

Dean Winsor was appointed Senior Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer in November 2018. He joined Teck in 1999 and previously held the position of Vice President, Human Resources. Mr. Winsor has 30 years of operations and corporate experience in the mining industry in the areas of human resources and procurement. He holds an MBA from Simon Fraser University and a Supply Chain Management Professional Designation from the Supply Chain Management Association. Mr. Winsor currently sits on the boards of Pacific Coast University, the National Institute of Disability Management & Research, the Canadian Mineral Industry Education Foundation and is Chair of the Board of the Mining Industry Human Resource Council.
